Professionals & referrals

Let's create meaningful days, together.

Social workers, commissioners, case managers, health professionals: we'd love to hear from you. Our aim is simple. Understand the person, find out what matters to them and see together whether OMAS is the right fit.

Finding the right opportunity

It starts with the person.

A referral isn't about filling a place. It's about understanding who someone is, what they enjoy, what they'd like to achieve and what will make their day genuinely meaningful.

This information helps us decide together whether OMAS is the right fit.

What helps someone have a meaningful day?

  • What matters to the person?
  • What do they enjoy?
  • What are their interests and strengths?
  • What would they like to learn or experience?
  • What helps them communicate and make choices?
  • What level of support or enhanced support do they require?
  • What would attending OMAS mean for them?

Our referral process

Simple, personal and straightforward.

Make a Referral
Step 1

Make an enquiry or referral

Tell us a little about the person and what they're hoping for.

Step 2

Let's talk

We talk through their interests, goals, communication, support needs and funding.

Step 3

Getting to know the person

Where appropriate, we will meet the individual and those involved in their support so we can understand what matters to them.

Step 4

Visit OMAS

See the space, meet the team and get a feel for what OMAS is about.

Step 5

Taster day

Where appropriate, we can arrange a taster day so the person can experience OMAS before making a decision.

Step 6

Agree the right support

If OMAS is suitable, we agree attendance days, support arrangements, funding and a start date.

Working in partnership

Good support works better when we communicate.

Where it helps, we work alongside families, social workers and the other professionals in someone's life.

This can help us understand their goals, communication, preferences and support requirements and provide consistency around the individual.

Call us, visit us, stay involved. The door's always open.
